Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if I cannot upgrade my desktop wallet? Do not worry, you can simply import your private key/keystore using the light wallet. Your old 1.0 mainnet desktop wallet will not work anymore, but your balance is safe. To continue using a desktop version of the wallet, you will need to install the new 2.0 desktop wallet (after mainnet activation) and import private key/keystore to access your NULS and re-stake if you are a staker.
What happens if my NULS are held in an exchange wallet? Users on exchanges can store their tokens on any exchanges that support the NULS 2.0 upgrade. Users can also transfer their NULS into their NULS 1.0 native wallet BEFORE the NULS 1.0 mainnet stops packing transactions. The team will contact exchanges in advance before upgrading the network. During such period, some of the exchanges might stop transferring services temporarily.
What if I am staked into an Aleph node? Your Aleph tokens will be ported to the 2.0 mainnet within 24–48 hours. Please follow the individual wallet instructions above, and be sure to re-stake into your Aleph node when the 2.0 mainnet nodes are up. Stay tuned for the announcement!
